This award winning restaurant, a wise choice. The steaks were wonderful. Definately one of the best steaks I have ever tried, in my life. The fillet on bone was highly recommended by our server but since I was surrounded by people who was gonna order it, I wanted to try something different and was fairly torn better the Steak w mussels or my order of Steak Escargot... no regrets with my decision. My steak came in medium, maybe I should have gone for medium rare, nevertheless the steak was exactly as I ordered, coated with herbs but charred perfectly. The fat was crispy and sweet... omg... I enjoyed it immensely!
The fillet on bone was very good too! Plus the chips. A match made in heaven.
A friend who ate here previously told me that the vegetarian pasta here sucked big time, I say otherwise. Simple homemade pasta with garlic, spring onions and mushrooms. Salt & pepper to taste... some parsley. Can't go wrong. In fact, there was nothing wrong with it, at all! I am glad I chose not to have any potatoes or rice with my steak so that I can make space for this pasta.
Then came dessert. Must end our finale dinner here on a sweet note, no? I chose Strawberry Cheesecake... it came with vanilla ice cream. Double YAY! ICE CREAAAAAMMM ON A COLD NIGHT! I love it! I needed some help finshing it up but... hey... at least my plates were clean. The cheesecake was shiok la... not the best but still very good nevertheless. Wasn't diabetic at all.
O well... since I have touched the board and wished real hard at Cape Point earlier part of the day, I am sure I will find myself back in this beautiful town in the future. Preferrably, the n e a r future. ^^
A bit more on gizzards... Our local friend ordered a starter of spicy chicken livers. Yummy. However, he told me that I will prefer Nando's version even more! His exact words were to order a big box in 'Hot' (that's the heat level) with a roll and a six-pack. Sounds damn good to me but he should have told me earlier, 36hours earlier would have been perfect!!! OSSSCCCAAAARRRRRRRRRRR, NOW I CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT IT!!!
