Manna Passion

Bread Platter

Fish Cake
This place was highly recommanded by friends who has been to Cape Town. Our local friend told us that they have recently changed hands but the food is as good as ever, he didn't lie. Perhaps our waitress was new, I am not sure but she spoiled the experience here, slightly. Pretty girl tho... I guess God is fair. Another reason to believe it more now. Lol.The ingredients used are not compromised but with a little more attention to detail, the most insignificant detail DOES matters, after all its already so good. Just that little bit more, to make it closer to perfection.
My drink was a simple soda x passion fruit & syrup. So refreshing. The bread and butter were all freshly made. My main course, the fish cake, was light and tasty and the piece of poached egg give it the creaminess that tied it all together. Delicious.

If I had the luggage space, a printed glass bell lid and some pewter tablewear will already be in my home as I am typing this but I had to take a reality check. Yes, they sell some merchandise too. I guess what ever the owner will use or believes in, she'll sell it in her restaurant too. Feels that way, not a bad thing coz she's got taste!
Such lovely things here and at another store down the street called O.Live. I deeply regret not buying some beautiful vintage glass teacups with matching saucers in the lightest hint of blue, not like celadon but like the color of the South African sky on a good day. I can just recall the details on it (especially the price LOL~~) but how oh how do I carry them back with 100% zero casuality.
So eating good food might very well be my way of 'buying' whatever I like here since the only damage its gonna do is to my waistline!!! *bleeeeehhhhhh*
